In today's music industry, with so much doctoring happening in the recording studio, it's nice to know that there are still talented musicians out there who aren't afraid to write their own music and lyrics, then grab a guitar or sit down at a piano and perform.

- Angel Taylor: "Make Me Believe" was recently the iTunes single of the week, and proved popular, as it received high ratings from listeners.
- Marié Digby: Digby's song "Say it Again" on her debut album Unfold shows off her vocal talent, as do covers of hits like "Umbrella." "Bring Me Love" was featured in the ABC Family channel movie Holiday in Handcuffs.
- Missy Higgins: Her latest album, On a Clear Night features tracks that are perfect to listen to when chilling out, driving, or just if you're in the mood to hear some quality music. "Where I Stood" has been on the radio recently.
- Tristan Prettyman: The album Twenty-Three features guitar-infused songs such as "Love Love Love." Her song "Madly," with its seamless blend of piano and guitar chords, was an iTunes Single of the Week in early 2008.
