EMI announces press conference possibly regarding Beatles downloads and the Juno awards are taking place in Toronto.
As if it’s really that hard to locate Beatles music to import onto your Ipod, EMI released a statement announcing a press conference on Monday, April 2nd at their London headquarters that will introduce “an exciting new digital offering.“ This is presumably, according to various other sources, to announce the upcoming availability of Beatles songs on Itunes. In appearance will be Apple Inc. president Steve Jobs and there’s also a planned “special live performance.”
The Beatles had been one of the more high profile holdouts in the digital world but and the decision to release the songs comes only following a February settlement between Apple Corps (owned by
EMI has been the distributor of Beatles music since the early ‘60s.
